Now is the time to get that shell book you've been looking for. On Sunday, Feb. 19, the museum will be holding a special sale of used shell books, magazines, scientific journals, collection boxes and cases, and discounted museum store merchandise. The sale will take place from noon to 2 p.m., just before the Sanibel Captiva Shell Club meeting. If you are joining us for the Shell Club meeting, come a little early to browse through stacks of out-of-print, rare shell books and other hard-to-find materials and merchandise. You don't need to be a Shell Club member to participate in the sale or Shell Club meeting. The Shell Club meeting starts at 2 p.m. Museum Curator Dr. José H. Leal will be presenting his fun program "What Shell Am I?", a game-style presentation that will test your shelling skills and attention to detail. Come to shop, stay for the Shell Club meeting.
