Richard J Chocol

Richard J. Chocol peacefully passed November 27th, 2017. Born December 21, 1938 in Chicago to the late Ervin and Susan (Kalnik) Chocol, Richard graduated from Farragut High School where he played on the football team and fell in love with a cheerleader who would later become his wife of 50 years, Donna (Rott). He had a football scholarship at Colorado State University but then followed his sweetheart to the University of Illinois, joined the U.S. Army, married Donna and after the service they had two children and made a home in the wonderful community of Orchard Brook in Downers Grove, IL.

Richard was Vice President of Sales at Atlas Van Lines/NelsonWesterberg and retired after 38 years to Sanibel Island, Florida and Oak Brook, Illinois where he enjoyed golf, books, cooking, his buddies, da Bears, Blackhawks and Cubs, dear friends and neighbors, children and grandchildren.

Richard is preceded in death by his beloved wife Donna and survived by cherished children Marc and Tara (John Joyce), grandchildren Chance, Caroline, Campbell, Crew and John Henry.
