On Nov. 19, visitors to the Bank of the Islands' Sanibel and Captiva offices will receive a special gift for their Thanksgiving celebration as a thank you from the bank.

"This is just a small way we can show how grateful we are to be your island bank," Vice President and Sanibel-Captiva Office Manager Willy Ocasio said. "It's also an important time to remember those less fortunate, so we hope you will bring a contribution to our canned food drive."

Donations to the canned food drive will be delivered to F.I.S.H of Sanibel-Captiva.

Bank of the Islands Vice President Willy Ocasio announced that a “Thank You” Day will be held on Nov. 19 and that the bank continues to accept canned goods for F.I.S.H of Sanibel-Captiva.

"F.I.S.H. provides much appreciated support and services for our neediest neighbors," Ocasio said. "While we accept lobby donations for F.I.S.H. all year long, it's our honor to spearhead this community drive to offer extra help as we enter the holiday season."

Freshly baked cookies and coffee will be available for visitors on Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All islanders are invited to stop by the Sanibel and Captiva offices.

The Sanibel office is at 1699 Periwinkle Way.
