Island Reporter, Captiva Current, Sanibel-Captiva Islander

The Sanibel Sea School will host a fly tying workshop for all skill levels on Dec. 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the organization's flagship campus, at 455 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.

Equipment and supplies will be provided, and local experts will be available to provide instruction and tips.

"Whether it's the camaraderie, inventiveness, skill or simply a way to catch more fish, people seem to love fly tying," Executive Director Dr. Bruce Neill said. "We hope fishermen and creative types alike will join us for this fun evening."

No advance registration required, cost is $20 at the door.

The Sanibel Sea School is a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the ocean's future, one person at a time. For more information, visit sanibelseaschool.org or call 239-472-8585.
