City ignoring real problems

May 7, 2019
Island Reporter, Captiva Current, Sanibel-Captiva Islander

To the editor:

A few weeks ago, the Island Reporter ran an article about the city changing all the words in all their manuals, etc., to read chairperson, police person, etc., instead of using man or woman.

Must we applaud the city of Sanibel for once again ignoring the real problems on the island - such as traffic, such as term limits for council members. No, instead they have decided that verbiage is crucial.

What a waste of time and taxpayers' money. Also, how against freedom of speech.

Have you ever thought of praying (to God, remember him?) and asking for guidance from him before you take any action on anything?
