Refuge outreach in action

July 17, 2019

Although summer vacation means fewer school groups coming to the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge, the Education Team does not let up on its mission to reach out and teach youth about the importance of wildlife and conservation. Recently, the team hosted an outreach program at Eagle Lakes Community Park in Collier County. Britt Hirst, program leader at the facility, reported that the children "had a blast" and learned a lot.
