The 2nd Annual Sanibel Community Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack will be held on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 in Fellowship Hall at the Sanibel Community Church, at 1740 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.

Packing the dehydrated, nutritious, rice-based meals is done in five sessions: from 1 to 3 p.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 1; and from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. on Feb. 1.

Feed My Starving Children is a Christian nonprofit hunger relief organization that used 1.3 million volunteers to help pack 365 million meals in 2018. The meals are shipped to over 80 countries and are used by mission and community organizations, orphanages, schools, medical clinics and other NGO's to feed millions of starving children and people. The Sanibel mobile pack has committed to recruiting 940 volunteers to pack 202,000 meals with a $45,000 budget.

Adults and ages 5 and older can help. To volunteer, visit give.fmsc.org/Sanibel.

To donate, visit give.fmsc,org/Sanibel. People can also mail a check to Feed My Starving Children with "Sanibel Mobile Pack 2001-19NO" written on the memo line to 401 93rd Avenue NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433, or bring a donation to one of the packing sessions.
