Sanibel, Captiva workers need our help

March 31, 2020
Island Reporter, Captiva Current, Sanibel-Captiva Islander

To the editor:

Many of the wonderful workers on our islands are already suffering financially in this crisis and are turning to F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva for help more than ever. On a recent day, I was told, about three times the usual number of clients came to the food pantry.

As a F.I.S.H. volunteer, my heart goes out to all these hardworking neighbors who are already struggling and will be for some unknown length of time to come.

Please help however you can by: dropping off perishable and nonperishable food to F.I.S.H., at 2430-B Periwinkle Way, Sanibel; dropping nonperishable foods in the F.I.S.H. collection box at Bailey's General Store, at 2477 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel; or donating money. This is an especially important time to help our island neighbors.
